“To not become a people that thinks so little of ourselves that we demand no sacrifice from each other.”

He’s got a warped connection between sacrifice and value. Normally, the higher you value something the less you demand sacrifice from it. You don’t demand a sacrifice from God, for example. You sacrifice of yourself not because you think highly of yourself, but because you think highly of another person that you don’t want them to sacrifice.

Does President Obama really think Americans are so stupid to believe our politicians will actually honor the spending reductions over the next 10 years. History has proven, year after year, the only promise politicians will not honor, is another politicians promises to stop spending, much less, eliminate any of their spending programs. After all, politicians believe they only way they can be reelected is to spend tax payer money to fund their pet projects. If President Obama really was committed to reduce spending, he would repeal Obamacare to set an example to every politician in the House & Senate. The fact is, he knows and the American voters now recognize, “Wilson was right” when he called out Obama as a Liar!
America’s only hope is a change in leadership in the White House, the Senate and the House. We need a clean sweep.

The exodus of entrepreneurial capital began when the Parasite in Chief committed to continue the Bush bailouts and nationalizations, and the ‘strike” continues as talent and good money refuse to participate in the statists’ Ponzi schemes, knowing that they are designed to collapse the capitalist system into an oppressive, oligarchic, patronage-driven mega-state neo-monarchy.

Rand saw all this coming. The Welfare State was the trojan horse that would lead to a gradual dictatorial state takeover by a series of “emergency countermeasures”, leading to effectively arbitrary government control under cover of “compassion”, “fairness”, “sacrifice”, and “equality”. All collectivist drivel designed to demonize success and competition and economic growth.

She envisioned the “strike” as a voluntary flight of entrepreneurial talent and capital in reaction to a clear coup against eh US constitution and the freedoms it was designed to protect. At the end of her book, Atlas Shrugged, John Galt is able to begin reconstructing the nation on meritorious principles. This outcome is not guaranteed in real life. We must all fight for meritocracy, whether by voice, by business decisions, or by subversive action if the enemy does not use legal tactics. When your government abuses you, as the Declaration of Independence says, moral men are obligated to fight it.

The main reasons for the current deficit are the wars, tax cuts, and tarp – all approved by Bush.
Also the stimulus was partially paid with tax increases and last i heard we had climbed out of the recessions and unemployment is going down. Keep in mind while the stimulus has ended, the wars, which only stimulate the military industry, continue.

And you cant blame dems for the budget when in fact Bush had veto powers.
